Hey hey hey!! Happy Sunday Guys & Gals!
I’m writing & posting this blog for you guys off of my phone so we will see how that turns out. Please bare with me!
Today we are thankful for:
1) Miss Sarah Mae!! She drove to my house at 12 in the morning to come see me! (Okay maybe it wasn’t just to see me)
2) Jon Bellion!!!!!! He’s one of my favorite artists ever and I’m currently on the way to his concert!! Adam, Sarah, & I are V excited. (That’s the real reason Sarah came)
3) Home! I am thankful for not only the earthly home I have now but also for the Heavenly home I have waiting for me!
Let’s talk about Vacations!! They are the BEST! There is honestly nothing better than sitting on the dock by the lake for an entire week, or living at the beach, swimming with the fish somewhere tropical, or even exploring ancient ruins in places like Greece or Rome!
When vacation starts in a beautiful place it’s easy to say “WOW! I NEVER want to leave this place!” But, as time goes on, living out of a suitcase gets kind of old, the Hotel bed is no longer very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower sucks. Family starts to be easily annoyed by each other and little quarrels break out from one snarky comment.
There is a point during the trip that it no longer feels peaceful and all that you want is to go home and sleep in your own bed. After all, there is no place like home.
It’s strange to think about but our time on earth is merely a vacation! Our true home is with our Savior in Heaven!!
John 14:2-4
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
Jesus already has a room in Heaven with your name on it!!! There is nothing you have to do to earn it and we as sinners certainly don’t deserve it. Out of his great love and mercy Jesus laid down his life so that we could be with him in Heaven!!
Jesus paved us a path to Heaven! We need to run our race in life with our eyes on the prize: an eternal life with Jesus!
I cannot wait for the day that we reach the finish line! God will proudly announce our names, show us to our rooms and say with a voice full of love and pride “My children, it’s been a long trip… welcome home.”
two songs to listen to:
Home by Daughtry
Well Done by the Afters (my personal fav)
Things to work on this week:
1) I started a journal!! Anytime I do something fun with friends or family I make sure to take at least one Polaroid picture and write about the day! I want to do my best to stay on top of that.
2) College applications. Meeerrrrppp the future is scary!! But it is so comforting to know that God has an amazing plan for both me and you!
3) Keeping my eyes on the prize! The race isn’t always easy but Jesus laid a path for us to follow.

Praying for you all to have an amazing week!
Sharing my love for Jesus and his love for you!
