Happy sundayyyyyyy friends!!
Today we are thankful for:
1) Leading Sunday school! I am usually just an assistant but today I actually got to lead the lesson! It was a super duper cool experience.
2) Feeling like a child!! Today I got to play hide and seek, eat dino nugs, and make cupcakes with pink frosting!! It was a super relaxing and care-free day!
3) Learning to be un-offendable
1 Corinthians 4:3-5
I like driving… I really do. But, if you have ever driven with me there maybe a couple of different things I call “The bane of my existence.”
Let me list a few:
Bikers
Semi-trucks
BIKERS
Tractors
People that go under the speed limit
Oh yeah did I mention BIKERS
It isn’t like people on bikes set out and think “Ope Annika is out driving!!! Better make sure we are all out on the road?!?!?!” No! That would be silly.
BUTTT I do ALWAYS become frustrated when they are out on the road. WHY DO THEY FEEL THE NEED TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!?!?!!?!?!?! I would never ever EVER do that if I was biking.
We seem to act this same way when it comes to sin. We are quick to judge and are quick to have a holier than thou attitude. “I would never do anything as awful as that!”
It’s important to remember that we do not know what people are thinking or what is in their hearts!! Only God can look inside someone’s heart and judge them.
Our judgment would just turn people away from Jesus! The only way we can change hearts is to share Jesus!! We are all guilty! But because of Jesus we are holy in God’s eyes! That is the message we need to share.
“You stand before God as if you were Christ, because Christ stood before God as if he were you.” – Charles Spurgeon
Things to work on this week:
1) It’s homecoming week! I need to work on having fun and still getting work done.
2) Being un-offendable. I need to read the book by Brant Hansen to have a new perspective on life.
3) Going to bed earlier. There have been lots of late nights for me and that just leads to me being crabby the next day
I hope you have a phenomenal week!
Sharing my love for Jesus and his love for you!
