Happy Sunday dudes and dudettes!!

Today we are thankful for:

1) Lazy days on the lake! Today after church my mom, sister, and I went to a friends house to float on the lake for a little!! It was super nice and relaxing!

2) Sisters! (Since it’s national sister day I thought I’d give her a shout out.) Super thankful for Amber even though she got married & ditched us ;)

3) The REAL shoutout goes to Adam (my brother) for buying and watching 20,000 Scooby-Doo movies with me!!!!

4) JEREMIAH 29:11!!!!!! (There is nothing better to say than the verse itself)

Worry worry worry!!!! I feel like that is all I do nowadays! It’s sooooooo easy to constantly worry. Whether it be about little things (i.e. will people like my outfit today?) or about big things (i.e. will I get into the college I want?) worrying happens all of the time. It isn’t an easy thing to do but God tells us not to worry.

God gives us Matthew 6:25-34 an entire section all dedicated to telling us not to worry!

Verse 34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Entire section

And when we worry, we like to plan. Planning is great (especially when you buy those cute planners from TJMaxx!!) but let’s be honest with ourselves. We aren’t the best planners in the world. THANKFULLY… the plans aren’t up to us! God has plans for our lives! He has a different plan for each and every one of us!! And all of those different plans end with the same goal. Eternal life. God planned for us to live with him eternally!

Ephesians 1:11

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will

There is nothing wrong with us planning our lives! Benjamin Franklin actually said “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!” The plans we make might not always turn out the way we want them to. Know this, if something you planned does not work out it’s because it was not in line with God’s plan!

Nothing will stand in the way of God’s plans for you!!

Worries will still come; they don’t just magically disappear (it’s a part of our sinful nature). However, when worries do come, we know that God has a plan for us!

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

It’s hard to know what God means when he says prosper. The Hebrew word Shalom is translated to peace. [Big shout out to Pastor Dad for that one (and for his entire sermon) because ya girl doesn’t know Hebrew]. Even though we don’t know exactly what his plans are, those prosperous plans are meant to bring us peace!!

Not only does he have a plan for us, but HE SAVED US!!! God defeated all of our enemies! There should be no worries because we are forever safe in God’s hands!

Psalm 27

Veggietales said it best: God is bigger than the boogie man! :)

Big shout out to God!! For literally everything but for giving me the perfect sermon today!!! Worries have been clouding my head and today helped me feel as light as a feather!

Things to work on this week:

1) DIY!! I bought a chair at a garage sale the other day and I need to finish painting it!

2) Apppllliiiiccccaatttiiioooonnnssss!! Still have to get those puppies going.

3) Trusting God when worries do come! Let’s face it… applications are stressful! But I know that God has a plan.

Hope you all have a worry-free week!

Sharing my love for Jesus and his love for you!
